The Salaga North Constituency has been hit with sad news following the death of its chairman, Iddrisu Sani of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The sudden death was announced in a statement released by the party on June, 4, 2026 in the constituency describing the death as a great loss to the party and the people he had served in the constituency and the country at large.
According to the statement, the chairman of the party is described as ‘hardworking’ suddenly passed on after years of dedicated service to the party.
The NDC executive described him as the pillar of the party who understands the members within the constituency and his growth within the party is remarkable.
The cause of the death of the Chairman remains unknown as the statement was released.
Preparation is currently underway for the burial of the deceased according to Islamic customs.
The party has extended its condolences to the entire family and bereaved friends and other sympathizers asking Allah to strengthen them through these difficult times.
