The Ghana Police have announced the arrest of the suspect in the murder of Dr. Jess Amuah and his wife, Elizabeth Amuah who went missing in March, 2026.
According to the police the suspect is identified as Abraham Awudok, who fled to the United Arab Emirates and was arrested after he was deported following the ongoing investigation into Dr. Jessy Amuah and his wife’s murder case.Â
The police, in collaboration with Interpol, launched an investigation after the matter was brought to their attention, which led to the suspect being located in Dubai.
The police worked closely with Interpol, and he was deported back to Ghana, where he was arrested upon arrival at the airport.
According to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), the investigation after the disappearance of Jesse and his wife led to the discovery of their bodies after several days of searching by the police.
The IGP says the arrest of the suspect is a breakthrough in the police’s fight against criminal activities in the country.
The Ghana police has urged the public to help in combating criminal acts in the country by providing relevant information to the service.
