Mr. Johnbusco Avom Aduko, the president and leader of the Borla Taxi and Tricycle Association of Ghana (TTA) has called on the government to engage the private sector for waste management.
According to Mr. Johnbusco, the major facilities are shut down in the country due to several operational challenges including electricity costs and fuel prices.
He added that the waste produced from the various homes is of many tonnes and the Zoomlion can not be the only private company to carry it to the site.

He further increased the price taken by the Zoomlion operators are very high and many people within the country can not afford to pay such an amount for their refuse.
He then calls on the government to strengthen the private sector in waste management by equipping it with the needed support to reduce waste in the country.
He emphasizes that the role of the Borla Taxi and Tricycle Association (TTA) is to help to reduce the waste produced from households.
