Honorable Bediako Baidoo, Member of Parliament (MP) for the Akwatia Constituency, has criticised the former Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, for fleeing justice.
According to him, he could not recall a political appointee who has fled from the country under similar circumstances while under investigation.
Speaking on Channel One TV, the lawmaker made these remarks as he joined the debate with Ken Ofori Atta currently under investigation and facing prosecution who has overstayed in the United States.

He expressed his concern about the former minister of finance pursuing his permanent residence in the United States after Ghanaians were informed he was on a trip for medical reasons.
The growing concern about Ofori Atta emerged after his permanent residence was approved by the United States immigration authorities.
Honourable Baidoo further dismissed the claim of Ghanaians comparing the case of Ken Ofori Atta to the former CEO, Sedina Attionu-Tamakloe of the Microfinance and Small Loans Center.
He urged that the legal proceedings against each of the cases are different and therefore Ghanaians should treat them as separate cases.
