The Ghanaian entertainer and musician Mzbel has shared a video on social media crying bitterly after losing her sister at Korle-Bu due to no-bed syndrome.

She identified her sister as Leila who is 46 years old.

In the video, the ‘16 years’ hitmaker was seen dressed in black crying over the tragedy as she tried to explain the incident.

According to her, the sister was rushed to Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital for emergency care, and upon arrival, they were informed that no beds were available for her.

She believes the delay in the treatment was due to the no-bed syndrome, which has caused her sister to die early.

She blamed the nurses and the management in the hospital for their attitude in handling emergency cases leading to the deaths of people.

Mzbel added that the government, which has been elected into the seat of the presidency, has no address for the ‘no-bed syndrome’.

The issue of no-bed syndrome is one of the major issues affecting many patients leading to death in the country.

The government and stakeholders need to address this issue affecting hospitals so human lives can be saved.
